Donatella Versace is partnering with digital retailer Revolve Group to launch a new beauty and fashion venture, with the designer taking on the role of Chief Creative Officer. The collaboration will begin with a beauty line, targeting markets in the United States, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. Fashion products are expected to follow later, and the alliance aims to blend high-end design with the convenience of online shopping.
The venture combines Versace’s creative influence with Revolve’s digital infrastructure, including its platform that lists more than one hundred thousand items across apparel, footwear, and beauty. Revolve’s technology and consumer data will support product development, while Versace’s cultural profile will shape the brand’s identity. The data-driven approach is intended to tailor collections to regional tastes, and the partnership reflects Revolve’s focus on Millennial and Gen Z consumers, a demographic that aligns with the designer’s emphasis on youth-driven creativity.
“I believe creativity should be fearless, inclusive and alive in the world,” Versace said in an announcement. “This partnership gives me the freedom to speak to that generation in a completely new and personal way, through beauty and fashion.” She added that the venture seeks to break conventional boundaries and connect directly with a digitally native audience.
Revolve’s existing brand collaborations, such as those with Cardi B and Bella Hadid, illustrate a model where cultural relevance drives product launches. The retailer’s second-quarter sales rose 12% year-over-year to $347.4 million, with international revenue up 16% to $78.4 million. It also reported $311.6 million in cash reserves and remains debt-free, giving the company flexibility to invest in new lines.
Versace’s move comes after her departure from the Versace fashion house in March 2025, where she had led design for nearly three decades. The brand was acquired by Prada Group in December 2025 for €1.25 billion, followed by leadership changes, including the appointment of Pieter Mulier as Chief Creative Officer. The new venture allows her to explore creative directions outside the Versace house while maintaining commercial reach.
Revolve’s Growth and Brand Expansion Strategy
The partnership with Versace follows Revolve’s recent financial performance, with the company reporting double-digit growth in both operating segments. Second-quarter net sales increased by 12% year-over-year to $347.4 million, while active customers reached 3.041 million over the 12 months ending June 30, 2026.
