Boots launches Christmas ad showing gifts becoming daily habits - christmas gifts
The film opens on Christmas morning and fast-forwards through the year to show how gifts become obsessions.

Boots has launched a new Christmas campaign, ‘For Gifts They’ll Really Love’, which showcases the company’s gift range in a comedic film. The 60-second advert is the first Christmas creative under its new Give it Some Boots brand platform.

The film opens on Christmas morning and fast-forwards through the year to show how gifts become obsessions. It features a range of products, including Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia and the No7 Future Renew Collection.

The campaign playfully exaggerates the idea that the best gifts don’t end at Christmas, but become part of everyday life. In one scene, a mum wears her LED light therapy mask to take the bins out and for a family portrait.

Charlotte Lock, Chief Marketing Officer at Boots, said the company wants to redefine what people expect from Boots at Christmas and be the destination for gifts people genuinely want to receive. Lock emphasized that the best gifting is about really knowing someone, and when Boots gets it right, the excitement lasts far beyond Christmas morning.

Boots aims to offer incredible brands, brilliant choice, and exceptional value whatever the budget. The company’s goal is to provide a more lasting connection with its customers by focusing on the idea that gifts can become part of everyday life.

The film debuts on Boots’ digital channels and will be followed by a multi-channel TV roadblock on 6 November, reaching six million people over the launch weekend. They will use real-time footfall data to direct digital media spend towards driving store visits.

Boots projects that its audiovisual activity will generate more than 300 million views and reach 90% of ABC1 women. The campaign will also run on social media platforms, including Snapchat, TikTok, and Reddit. Out-of-home activity, including a special build at Westfield White City and taxi wraps, is expected to deliver 72.7 million impacts.

Boots’ 2026 gifting range spans more than 60,000 products, including 50 new exclusives, such as Sweaty Betty’s first beauty collection. The company has also stepped up its seasonal recruitment drive, with 6,000 flexible and part-time roles available.

The campaign builds on the Give it Some Boots platform, launched in September, which marked a shift away from advertising Boots’ individual divisions towards campaigns built around customer missions. This platform aims to provide a more cohesive and customer-centric approach to marketing.
